Our Justice Project roundtables are opportunities for residents who are passionate advocates for social and racial justice in Chicago’s northern suburbs to come together and share news, strategies, and calls for collaboration.
This is a moment of reckoning as we work toward inclusive, diverse, and just suburbs. It’s been two years since police officers killed George Floyd and people of all races took to the streets affirming that Black Lives Matter. But we have a patchwork at best of communities that have taken steps to stop police brutality. Violence is thriving here and abroad.
Nevertheless, we persist.
From Evanston and Skokie, Morton Grove and Park Ridge, and Wilmette and Northbrook, activists are shaping our towns to make room for low-income families, environmental sustainability, transparent government, and forward-thinking candidates.
Share your latest updates and strategies from your northern suburb on organizing and advocating for the Welcoming Community. Together, we gain inspiration, friends & allies!
