The Justice Project: Beloved Community Virtual Roundtable

Our Justice Project roundtables are opportunities for north suburban residents who are passionate advocates for social and racial justice to come together and share news, strategies, and calls for collaboration. Join us on Sunday, February 4th, at 4 PM for our second virtual gathering!

"If we build it, they will come" is true not only for baseball diamonds in former cornfields.

It's also true for the dreams of our cities. That’s why the plans we create as a community are so important. "If we plan it, it will happen."

But how many of us actually give input into these comprehensive plans? How can we:

  • Ensure that the goals of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice are through-lines that pervade every aspect of the plan?

  • Hold elected officials accountable to these plans and their constituents as they make decisions that affect our daily lives?

Join us as we share ideas and real-world examples with residents and local governments for inclusive community engagement processes that work -- and that lead us toward the equitable and sustainable communities we wish to be.

Featuring:

Andrés Tapia of Highland Park, IL is a Senior Client Partner and is Korn Ferry’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Strategist. He has been one of the leading voices in shaping a contemporary, next-generation approach to diversity and inclusion.

Sign up for our upcoming quarterly roundtable, hosted virtually on Zoom on Sunday, February 6 at 4:30!

The Justice Project: The March Continues, a regional umbrella for support and action for welcoming, just, and diverse north suburban communities, is hosting this working session for local activists to share strategies and build the movement. This is the second quarterly Justice Project regional gatherings.

Together as the Justice Project, we are a force for the Welcoming Community!
